Nacida Angélica Rincón Luna hija de Javier Rincón y Felis Luna originaria de Cd. Juárez Chihuahua, México. Asistió desde kínder hasta la educación secundaria en Cd. Juárez. Se mudó a la hermosa ciudad de El Paso, Texas. Donde asistió a la preparatoria "Mountain View" en la cual ocupó parte del porcentaje más alto de su generación (top 10%). Completo su carrera universitaria en la universidad de Texas en El Paso (UTEP) con una licenciatura en Literatura Española y una sub-especialización académica secundaria en educación. Durante su último semestre en la universidad viajó a España donde visitó más de 22 ciudades en un mini-semestre aprendiendo sobre la cultura y la literatura en contexto.
Empezó a trabajar para el Distrito Escolar de El Paso (EPISD) en el año 2005 y ha trabajado en la preparatoria en El Paso High desde entonces. En los años que ha trabajado para esta escuela además de dedicarse a trabajar con los estudiantes, dirige la Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (SHH o SHS) y el Club Internacional.
En su tiempo libre viaja por el país o países extranjeros. Le gusta explorar y aprender sobre las diferentes culturas que nos rodean. Algunas partes del mundo ha conocido son Inglaterra, Francia, España, Italia, la exótica Sudamérica donde visitó Perú, Colombia, Panamá, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Argentina, y Chile. En los últimos años ha viajado también por México conociendo la Cd. de México, Zacatecas, Cancún, Coyoacan, Pachuca, Playa del Carmen, Morelia, Querétaro y Guadalajara. Cuando no está viajando dedica su tiempo a disfrutar de los eventos culturales de nuestra ciudad, sus sobrinos y los perros adoptivos.
Foreign Language Goals
1. Students will learn how to communicate gradually in a language other than English using the skills of speaking, reading and writing. 2. Students will gain knowledge and understanding of other cultures. 3. Students will use the language to make connections with other subject areas and to acquire information. 4. Students develop insight into the nature of language and culture by comparing their own language and culture to another and by demonstrating an understanding of the influence of one language and culture on another. 5. Students will be able to use the language beyond the school setting activities such as participating in cultural events and using technology to communicate. Students will show evidence of becoming lifelong learners by using the language for personal enrichment and career development. 6. The final goal is for students to be able to score a 3 or more on the AP exam in level IV and move to level V.
